GONE TIL' NOVEMBER

One of my main IPOD heavyweights has taken a vacay to the “big house”.

Lil Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, was sentenced to two years in prison, as a result of taking a plea deal, after pleading guilty to his 3rd marijuana possession charge.

In October 2008, Boosie, 25, was arrested during a traffic stop. East Baton Rouge sheriff deputies found a bag of weed, a blunt, a handgun, and an “unspecified drug.”

Today, Billboard announced that Boosie’s latest album, entitled Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz, will debut on its Top 10 Rap albums chart next week. This conviction couldn’t have come at a more unfortunate time. Boosie, who I believe has the potential for mainstream success {as seen by the success of his megahits: Wipe Me Down and Zoom} could have catapulted to crossover stardom, but instead he will have to rely on his record label, without the guidance of his mentor: the legendary {R.I.P} Pimp C. to push his latest project.

He will more than likely only have to serve, the rapper sentence of 2009, one year in prison. The remainder of his sentence can be completed on supervised probation and the weapons charge dropped, if he adheres to behavior guidelines.

Damn homie….Hold ya head!! I will definitely be riding to My Struggle and Swerve till’ you touch down!

“Cuz the situation that I'm in, the judge tryin' to send me to the pen and give me ten,

and do me in got me stressin' on some major shit!”~ Lil Boosie: Goin’ Thru Some Thangs
