A Mississippi high school student has been deemed a hometown hero because he wrestled a loaded gun from his classmate on his school bus. Footage from the bus cam, shows the female suspect as she goes into her flower print bag, and removes a chrome-plated Point-380 caliber semi-automatic handgun. {Crazy little girl, ain't she?}
The Yazoo County High School football player, Kaleb Eulls, tried to reason with the girl as she pointed the gun and threatened the students on the bus, ranging from ages 5-18 years old. The courageous young man took advantage of a split second that the girl looked away, and was able to wrestle the gun from her. The incident occurred in a rural area of the town, miles away from where help could be called.
Thank God that Kaleb was level-headed and acted fast, because this now heroic situation could have became tragic in minutes. He definitely should receive some type of reward!
As for the female suspect, Police said the girl was arrested on 22 counts of attempted aggravated assault, 22 counts of kidnapping and one count of possession of a firearm on school property.
She is being held in the county juvenile facility.
Below is footage (via the Associated Press) of the incident.
