The Throwback Jam of the Day is Mista: Blackberry Molasses! The group, led by a young Bobby Valentino, hailed from Atlanta, Georgia. Mista was compromised of: Darryl Allen, Bobby Wilson, Brandon Brown, and Byron Reeder. The group in my opinion was a mixture of ABC {Iesha} and Boyz II Men {End of the Road}.
I absolutely loved this song and I seen the group a Tradewinds when I was a daisy dukes wearing, beeper-carrying pre-teen...the good ole'days! In case you have that dazed & confused look on your face, Tradewinds was the skating rink….I lived for Tradewinds okay!
I just realized when I watched this video today, that these little boys were too young to be talking about such “deep content”….they act like they had the world on their shoulders.
Anywho…let this one take you back…..back in da day when you was young and not a kid anymore. Some days, I sit and wish I was a kid again.
Bobby might have that “star power” that REAL performers are born with, cause he killing this to be so young….but he so damn wack, he could never be mainstream! He can sang though.
